Jenny + Andrew // SDE

The “Grand” in Manchester Grand Hyatt does not disappoint! From the Rooftop Balcony First Look at the 32nd Floor Bayview Terrace, the grand space of the Coronado Ballroom, to the Embarcadero Marina Park North for the outdoor ceremony… There were so many things to capture. Wish we had more time!

I’ve known Jenny for many MANY years, in fact, she was an assistant for us during our humble beginnings and she wanted our “original” team to capture her wedding once Andrew proposed. My team and I had a great time capturing their wedding and they were both so much fun to work with. As a same-day editor, its quite rare for me to come out and capture some footage. But I took a chance and forced myself to capture some drone shots during their ceremony (from far far away hoping for minimal distraction), and I was able to tag along for their photo session at Balboa Park! Although, it limited editing time, I was still able to pull through! And it wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for my talented team and all the vendors we got to work with today.

Irene + Clark // Director’s Cut

We started the day at the luxurious Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach where they rented out a large 2 story unit where Clark got ready downstairs and Irene prepared upstairs. After Clark was finished, we got to do the first look at the community pool along the edge making it look like an infinity pool first look. I was able to get my super wide shot with no obstructions! Afterwards we headed to Fullerton.

The Summit House is one of my favorite venue locations because for 1. it’s on a hill that oversees all of fullerton, 2. the service and food is amazing, and 3. that Classic Creamed Corn Au Gratin!! I also love how everything is so close together making this a great place for both vendors and guests. I was also able to get some great aerial shots with the drone.

Irene and Clark were such naturals at our given direction. Also working with Erich Chen Photography made the day run by so much smoother. Such a beautiful couple together and so much fun to work with. It was seriously an honor to be part of this wedding team. Anyway, check out their edit!

Shannon + James // Wedding Highlights

I’ve known Shannon well over a decade now and when she got engaged to James, I was so happy for them. They immediately reached out to me to cover their wedding day at the chic and stylish Colony House in Anaheim. The architecture and design are truly unique. From the fully exposed brick wall in the Great Room, to the wall-to-wall windows in the the Loft, this place is amazing. They outdoor porch even features a fireplace. Everything has this modernized homey feel to it. Speaking of which, the food, by 24 carrots, had a delicious homey feel to it too! All of the vendors there were so accommodating and fun to work with. To top it off, working with Joseph from Lin & Jirsa always brings a pleasure and synergistic work flow.

I haven’t made a Wedding Highlights in a while, but in case you are wondering, it is similar to a same-day edit but it’s only difference is that 1. it’s not produced the same-day; and 2. it includes more events (such as the cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc). Although it was quite a warm day, it didn’t stop our ambitious couple to acquire all of the beautiful shots needed for photo and video. So sit back, relax and hit play below =)

Jennifer + Khoa // SDE

What a great day! We got the opportunity to try some new types of equipment. The DJI Phantom 3 and the DJI Ronin. All I can say is WOW! Can you spot the difference between these SDE aerial shots versus my previous edit with aerial shots?

Anyway, this entire day went by so well! There were so many things great things: Lovely couple, Fun Wedding Party, Enthusiastic guests, Stars Wars themes grand entrance, Transformers themed tables, Lego man topper cake, Erich Chen Photography, the list goes on! Sadly, I couldn’t fit all these things in the SDE, but that will bring you back when I finish the Director’s Cut!

Check out their SDE!
